About Medidental
Medidental is a reference for medical and dental supply specifications. Every figure on this site is traced to a published primary source, the source is cited on the page it appears on, and the page carries the date the figure was last checked against it.
What this site is for
Supply specifications are scattered across standards bodies, regulatory databases, manufacturer data sheets and state statutes, and almost none of them are arranged the way somebody ordering actually needs them. The outer diameter of a 25-gauge needle is in one ISO standard, its colour code is in another, and the lengths anyone actually sells at that gauge are in a manufacturer's PDF. Medidental does that compilation and shows its working.
The site currently covers injection and reconstitution supplies — needle gauges and lengths, syringe graduations and unit scales, luer fittings, and the rules governing sharps disposal. Dental equipment parts are planned and not yet published.
What this site is not
- Not a store. Nothing is sold here. There is no cart, no inventory and no order form, and there will not be.
- Not medical advice. Medidental publishes product specifications. Questions about treatment, dosing, injection technique, or whether a product suits you belong to a licensed prescriber or pharmacist. No page here answers them, by design.
- Not the former MediDent Supplies. This domain previously ran an online store operated by No Borders Dental Resources, Inc. That business is gone, its catalogue is gone, and this site is not affiliated with it, does not continue it, and cannot fulfil its orders. Where an archived figure from that catalogue is genuinely useful — a capacity, a fitment — it is published as a specification and marked as archived. Its part numbers are not, because nobody can order them from anyone.
How the figures get here
Every specification is compiled from a published source, checked against that source, and stamped with the date it was checked. The full method — what counts as a source, what happens when two sources disagree, and what gets rejected — is written up in how we verify.
As of 2026-08-01 the site carries 14 specification pages citing 169 sources across 66 distinct publishers, among them the International Organization for Standardization, the FDA's device databases, the NIH's AccessGUDID registry, OSHA, the USPS, and the environmental and health agencies of individual states. 168 of those sources are documents you can open; one is an archive export held offline, and it is listed without a link rather than left out.
Who publishes it
Medidental is published independently by DonEquiss. It carries no sponsorship, no guest posts and no paid placements, and no manufacturer or retailer has any say in what appears on it or how a specification is reported.
The site makes no claim to clinical expertise, and it does not need to: its authority rests entirely on the sources it cites and on the fact that you can check every one of them yourself. That is the point of publishing the source URL beside the figure rather than asking you to take our word for it.
How it pays for itself
Some pages link to retail listings for the products they describe. Those links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we earn a commission at no additional cost to you, and every such link is marked as sponsored in the page's markup and disclosed in the footer of any page carrying one.
A link is only added where a real listing matches the specification on the page, and the match is stated so you can check it. Where no listing matches, the page says so and links nothing — six of the fourteen specification pages currently say exactly that. No figure, comparison or recommendation on this site is chosen to favour a product we can earn from, and no page has ever been written because a product was available to link.
Corrections
If a figure here is wrong, or a source has moved or been withdrawn, we want to know and we will fix it. Corrections are made against the source, and the page's verified date moves only when the figures on it have actually been re-checked against the documents they came from — so a date on this site means someone looked, not that the page was touched.
